It's been a while since I tried to post anything new to my blog... so let's see if I remember how to do this. I wanted to post more this year. I'm hoping that this year I will be able to concentrate my writing on my blog, as opposed to my judging paperwork. My fingers are crossed until March. Well, here are three of my new snow dyed mandalas. They have become the new thing of 2013. I saw some that another person had posted some snow dyed mandalas on MXDyers log, and thought I would give it a try. I combined my knowledge of tie-dye and snow dyeing... and wa-la! This were from the second batch that I tried. The first ones were fat quarters and I used one color on them. These seem a bit like beginners luck because I'm trying to replicate the results and the new ones aren't coming out as nicely. I have been playing around with folding them. The last batch have a definite dark/light half to them, so I don't want to fold them like that again. However, I did iron them as I folded and like how that helped.
